Losing Your Way

A question often asked of one’s angel is, “Am I on my path?” This probably arises from a nagging suspicion that what you are doing doesn’t feel quite right. It could be that obstacles seem to be continually hindering your progress after making a decision: significant people do not show up when needed, events do not occur as planned, or simply the weather does not cooperate for the day. Or it could be that nothing seems to be happening on your path: no interesting events, no people whom you thought would help you. It may be that you’ve done something hurtful to yourself or to others and you believe that it may have knocked you off your path. It may even be that you’ve suddenly lost interest after making that original decision because it just dried up or something else caught your attention. In any or all of these you may be feeling some amount of confusion or even mild panic because things are not turning out the way you expected them to turn out.

Wondering whether you are still on your path assumes that it is possible for you to leave your path. Angels assure us that no matter what you do and no matter what happens in your life you will most likely never leave your path. This is because your path is not a rigid, authoritarian given that you must adjust your life to in spite of your own perceived frailties. Rather, it is your path that serves you and conforms itself to your circumstances. Your life path, no matter how much it may twist and turn throughout your stay on this earth, will always be part of your every life decision. Your path exists to allow you to evolve to your highest possibility. It does this at your own pace and will therefore allow for setbacks. It also recognizes that every choice you make, even those you may later regret, is part of the process of your inner growth and so will be included as a given on your path. Thus whatever happens in your life and whatever you choose to decide on your path will always be part of the path itself.

Your life is perfect. You can never lose your way. There is no way to go but higher and higher, always toward the Light. Whenever you ask, “Am I still on my path?” your angel answers, “Always and forever for the Creator is One with You.”
